Recently, CCEWOOL® completed another order of 1260°C refractory fiber paper for shipment to Mexico. The order includes two thicknesses, 3.18 mm and 6.35 mm, with a density of 200 kg/m³. The products are mainly used for high-temperature sealing around aluminum melting furnace doors, expansion joints, and localized connection areas in the customer’s aluminum casting operations, together with downstream Fabrication processing.

During operation, aluminum melting furnaces are exposed to sustained high temperatures as well as repeated furnace-door opening and closing. Furnace door edges, expansion joints, and equipment connection areas must accommodate temperature changes while maintaining effective sealing and thermal insulation.

The dimensions and geometries of these areas are often different. If only standard-size materials are used, customers may need additional cutting, punching, or shaped processing, which increases fabrication steps and can also affect dimensional consistency across batch-produced components.

For this project, CCEWOOL® focused on two key areas: custom Fabrication of thickness and length and stable Fabrication quality with shaped-component processing capability.
