(3) The method of adding combustibles
The method of adding combustibles refers to adding combustible substances to the mud. These additives are burned off when the refractory is synthesized at high temperature, resulting in pores. However, this method has shortcomings such as may result in low strength of the product blank and easy deformation of the finished product, which needs to be controlled by the synthesis process to overcome.
When using the method of incorporating combustible additives, the combustible additives should have higher volatility and flammability; it should be able to generate fine and uniform pores; and it should have less elasticity to facilitate molding.
3.Application of light weight refractory material
As an important part of equipment such as kilns, boilers, and thermal vessels, light refractory materials are widely used in industry. Due to the high apparent porosity of lightweight refractories, it has an irreplaceable position in terms of high efficiency and energy saving and reduction of heat loss. However, its products have high apparent porosity and poor chemical corrosion resistance, and cannot directly contact fuel. So far, lightweight refractory materials have been mostly used in the insulation layer of high-temperature equipment.
